08 / 02 / 2010 - 20 / 02 / 2010

From February 8 to February 20, the visitors to the Arkády Pankrác shopping and social centre will have an opportunity to view the exhibition of photographs entitled “The Runners’ Stories”. This exhibition introduces a large format photographs not only from the history and the present times of the marathon run, but also from all events related to its organization. An integral part of the exhibition is in the photographs of unique monuments in Prague captured in contrast with the runners’ adrenaline, as interpreted by the foremost photographers.

The first Prague International Marathon was held in 1995 with 958 participating runners. Since that time the race has grown and developed and was recently selected as one of the top 10 marathons in the world which takes place in one of the most beautiful localities. In 2009, it attracted nearly 6000 competitors from around the world. The Prague International Marathon is also the organizer of the annual Hervis Prague Half Marathon which is held since the year 1999. This year it will run on March 27 along the riverbank in the centre of Prague. We trust that the photographs displayed in the Arkády Pankrác Centre will captivate you and perhaps they will inspire you to take part in the run.

At the same time we would like to invite the visitors to the Arkády Pankrác shopping and social centre to attend the accompanying program which as one of the features of the exhibition will be organized on February 19 by the trainer, runner and a young mother, the likable Mrs. Vanda Kadeřábková-Březinová (specific hour will be announced during the next week).
